One person remains detained at Carlow Garda Station

One person’s still being detained at Carlow Garda Station in connection with drugs and organised crime.

He was picked up in the Sandhills area yesterday morning in an operation that involved local gardaí with the armed response unit as well as the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

A senior spokesperson has refuted claims that shots were fired during the incident.
