Ongoing water issues in Johnstown are big concerns for residents

“We don’t want investigations, we want action”.

So says Cllr Mary Hilda Cavanagh of the ongoing water issues in parts of Johnstown.

A lack of pressure’s been experienced including Donaghmore and Lios na Si, and with plans for further housing in the area this will further add to the issue.

Cllr Cavanagh raised the issue again at this week’s Castlecomer Municipal District Meeting; ”We need booster pumps in the Johnstown area and we need them now! We are done with investigations and meetings, it’s really time for action.”
