Last month KCLR was given the go ahead by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, through the Sound and Vision scheme to make a 20 part series on KCAT which is based in Callan Co Kilkenny.  KCAT is a centre where people with and without special needs come together to learn art and drama.  It’s the only place inIrelandto provide such an inclusive learning environment and its run by the Camphill Community.  The aim of the series is to bring the work that the people do in KCAT to the listeners of KCLR and to give the people who study there a platform through which their ideals and ambitions and achievements are aired. It’s broadcast every second Wednesday on the Sue Nunn Programme and will be repeated here on Oscailt every second Monday.  This week is lift-off, literally for the series where we meet artist Jason Turner as he puts the finishing touches to the KCAT lift.  The programme is narrated by Edwina Grace and produced by Monica Hayes …
