Palatine have bridged a 9 year gap by clinching the Conlon Cup in Netwatch Cullen Park.
They defeated favourites Old Leighlin in yesterdays county final 2-12 to 2-8 in a thriller.
Palatine led 1-7 to 1-5 at half time and two points from Brian Kelly off the bench was enough insurance to see them win their 5th title.
“Skeogh” Kelly was on the 2006 winning team and told KCLR that they gave it everything today.
Meanwhile the Minor final will have to be re-played after Eire Og and Palatine couldn’t be separated.
It finished Éire Óg 0-13, Palatine 2-7.
