The 2026 International Pan Celtic Festival is officially in full swing.
Festivities kicked off in spectacular fashion last night at the George Bernard Shaw Theatre in Carlow with the special guest of honour, President Catherine Connolly.
The President joined locals and visitors from across the six Celtic nations to celebrate the start of Carlow’s two-year stint as the festival’s host.
Addressing the crowd, she highlighted the importance of our shared culture, music, and language and the strength it gives people….
“This powerful source has nurtured our shared culture over the centuries, providing the strength not just to endure but also to thrive.”
“Of course, each generation finds its own medium of expression and breathes life into the culture and our shared culture.”
