Penneys has been confirmed as the new anchor tenant of a 40 million euro development in the heart of Carlow town.
The retailer has revealed plans for a brand new flagship store at the site being developed by Eamon Duignan of Donnybrook developments.
Up to three hundred jobs will be created in the construction phase and its hoped that lots of new retailers will join Penneys on site before the development opens in December 2015.
County Manager Tom Barry says it’s a really good news story for the town.
