Pentedrone seized in Graiguecullen search

A 49 year old Russian man is still being questioned at Carlow Garda station today following the very first seizure of Pentedrone.

Revenue Customs service assisted the local Gardai in an operation which involved the controlled delivery of a package originating in China to an address in Graiguecullen yesterday morning.

A firearm and ammunition were seized at the house along with around 500 grammes of Pentedrone – a designer type drug with stimulative effects.

The man arrested at the scene is still detained at Carlow Garda Station and Gardai say investigations are continuing.
