David Ayers was born and raised in Virginia, USA. Knowing he wanted to be a musician he studied at Virginia Commonwealth University and started on a career in music.
Over the years, he was been a member of the legendary band Red Snapper and has also carved out a fine career as a composer with some of his soundtrack work appearing on a variety BBC programmes.
He relocated to Carlow a few years back and has been active in musical circles there also. Most recently he has been a member of the Carlow group The Hard Times who have just released their debut album “Black Republic”.
