She settled back in Kilkenny, married and in time resumed her education while working at the Criedim Centre in St. Kieran’s College, Kilkenny.
Then, out of nowhere, a bout of cancer – now successfully treated – laid her low and put her life in perspective.
Through her experience as a patient she noted that there was nothing in Kilkenny by way of a Cancer Care Service that provided support and complementary therapies; along with other volunteers she founded the Cois Nore charity in 2011.
In this programme, Liz talks about her experiences and the work she has done along with the volunteers in the Cois Nore centre.
