People who died in workplace related incidents in Carlow and Kilkenny among those to be remembered today

Employees, self employed people and organisations need to prioritise the health and safety of all workers.

The warning comes as the ICTU, HSA, IBEC and the Construction Industry Federation gather at the Garden of Remembrance, to mark Worker’s Memorial day.

The national day remembers those who have died, been injured or made seriously ill as a result of work – last year two people died while working in Kilkenny while no such deaths were recorded in Carlow.
