Permission sought for Kilkenny city development which could yield 40 apartments

Kilkenny city may be getting 40 new apartments.

GEMSTACK Ltd are seeking planning permission to develop two blocks at Deansground on the Waterford Road.

It would see 21 homes provided in one four-storey structure with 19 more in a a five-storey.

The proposal also seeks to demolish a shed, part of a wall and the removal of trees with the introduction of a memorial garden and sculpture in front of a former convent, in rememberance of the St Joseph’s community.
