Phil Hogan to brief Agriculture Committee on agri-developments in Europe

Phil Hogan will be meeting with Pat Deering in Leinster house later.

The EU Agriculture Commissioner will be appearing before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine – which is chaired by the Carlow TD – at 11 this morning.

The local former environment minister will be briefing the Committee on developments in the Agricultural sector in Europe.

In a statement, Deputy Deering says they’ll be discussing the Simplification of CAP, and ensuring that farmers receive a fair price from supermarkets for what they produce.
