Carlow Kilkenny TD Phil Hogan will find out next week what portfolio he’s getting in the European Commission.
He’s one of 26 names that were nominated for commissioner positions today by President-elect Jean-Claude Juncker.
The Council has to now agree to the list – after which it’ll be published in the EU’s Statute Book.
Mr Juncker intends to announce who gets what portfolio mid-next week.
