Popular Kilkenny tourist attraction is to close temporarily at the end of the month

A major tourist attraction in Kilkenny is to close its doors temporarily.

The Office of Public Works (OPW) have confirmed To KCLR News that Kilkenny Castle will be closed to the public from Monday 26th January to Friday January 30th.

A spokesperson from the OPW said the closure is to accommodate essential conservation, maintenance and upgrade works.

The Parkland will remain open during this time.
