A post mortem examination on the body of a Carlow man has confirmed the 46 year died of a stab wound.
Murt Brennan died after he was found stabbed at a house in Frederick Avenue on Wednesday.
Gardai had arrested a man in his 20’s but he was released without charge last night.
They’re now appealing to anyone who may have seen Murt Brennan in Carlow town before the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.
Gardai are also hoping to speak with anyone who was in Frederick Avenue that day- they have carried out door-to-door enquiries in the area but are anxious to hear from people who they have not yet spoken with.
