Gardai hunting those responsible for a robbery at the Post Office in Leighlinbridge earlier have now made 2 arrests.
Following the incident which happened at 10am this morning Gardai made an appeal on KCLR to anyone who may have seen the culprits who left the scene in a white Mitsubishi car.

A message was also sent out via text to the various community text alert groups in the area.
Information received by the Gardai led them to focus their search on a particular area in Carlow and 2 men were pursued on foot through the fields and across the river before they were arrested a short time ago.

They’ve been brought to Carlow Garda station for questioning.
