Power’s back to thousands of local premises which were hit by weather-related outages last night.
Homes and businesses in Conahy, Ballyragget, Granagh, Ballyhale and at McDonagh in Kilkenny city were hit for a time with faults in Baltinglass and Bunclody having an impact on pockets of Carlow.
About 458 properties in the Kilderry, Johnswell area remain without a supply this morning with ESB estimating a return for those of between 4 & 6pm today.
Added to that there was some travel disruption on a number of local routes with wind-fallen debris, including a tree down at Brownsbarn Bridge close to Inistioge and also near St Mary’s Cemetery on the Old Dublin Road in Carlow.
Care’s needed still this morning if heading out.
Gardaí in both counties say there were no major issues reported to them.
