Hundreds of homes locally are still without power today as repair works continue.
The ESB says it hopes to restore power to most affected areas in Carlow and Kilkenny later today but says customers in the most rural areas may be without power until later in the week.
Meanhile, Farmers are under severe pressure and are trying to work together without electricity.
Kilkenny IFA chairman John Bambrick says they’re moving cows to neighbouring farms to use any available generators for milking.
He says getting water to animals is also proving a problem as pumps cannot run without electricity.
