One of the Kilkenny schools is Presentation Kilkenny Secondary school who are to get a new build school that will cater for 1,000 students and include two more special classrooms.
Principal of Pres Kilkenny secondary Shane Hallahan spoke to our news reporter Martin Quilty, he told him:
“Yes Martin, Good news at long last, I suppose we’ve been looking for this for the past number of year’s because our student population is growing which we are delighted with but I suppose we feel that they don’t have the building that they deserve”
“We’ve been pushing for this for the last twelve year’s and seven years ago we met with the department and at the time we were to get an extension, but because of the numbers and the growth and I suppose the present building they granted us a brand new state of the art school”
