A person was arrested in Kilkenny City yesterday evening during a protest outside the Father McGrath Centre.
The demonstration was in relation to Tánaiste Joan Burton’s visit to the Carlow/Kilkenny constituency to lend her support to Labour by-election candidate Willie Quinn.
Kilkenny Gardaí say one protester was arrested as the Tánaiste left the centre but was later released without charge.
A file has been sent to the DPP.
