Protests are causing traffic delays along the M9 motorway early this morning as they continue to demonstrate against the cost of fuel

There was major traffic disruption on the M9 from early morning.

At least 100 truckers and farmers moved slowly in convoy northboung along the motorway on their way to the city.

It’s as today marks the third day of demonstrations against what protestors say is Government inaction on the fuel crisis.

Access to ports across the country were blocked overnight.

Protests are also expected in various locations including Portlaoise, Waterford and Wexford with more traffic disruption expected on motorways and in towns and cities.
