Protesters made their presence felt as a conference on Wind Energy got underway in Kilkenny this morning.
A busload arrived at Lyrath estate hotel to make known their feelings on wind farms and wind energy.
It was a peaceful protest although Gardai were there to ensure everything went smoothly.
Plans for a wind farm in Old Leighlin were recently rejected but representatives of the community were there this morning anyway.
Mary McDonald told KCLR news they want the company to know they will fight any future attempts to bring turbines to the area.
