Residents on a section of Carlow’s Tullow Road will finally have street lighting after ESB Networks confirmed it will be connecting the lights at the front of the Burrin Manor development this week.
The news was confirmed at the March meeting of Carlow County Council, much to the relief of local Councillor Fintan Phelan.
He told KCLR News; “New lights were installed well over a year ago now but they haven’t been connected to power yet and it’s a real frustration because people can see the lights in, they know how much more safety the lights will provide but yet there’s no light switched on, it was great to get confirmation from our Director Padraig O’Gorman that ESB Networks confirmed that they will be on site to connect the power on the lights in front of Burrin Manor estate this week”.
