A public meeting is to take place on a proposed Performing Arts Centre in Kilkenny City.
Mayor of Kilkenny, Councillor David Fitzgerald says the centre would be located at the Riverbank in the Abbey Quarter.
The meeting will be held on Monday the 22nd of May at 7.30 pm in the Town Hall in Kilkenny.
Mayor Fitzgerald says Kilkenny is a “logical” place to have a Performing Arts Centre.
“It’s a logical place for a national centre to be developed. For many years the government have been talking about creating opportunities for the arts outside of Dublin, so I think this is an exceptional opportunity to do this.”
