Rás na mBan is set for a revamp this year as the International women’s stage race celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The six-stage event (details here) will cover more than 400 kilometres, with new routes in Carlow, Gorey and Carrick-on-Suir with wheels rolling out from 2nd to 6th September.
There’ll also be a return to Kilkenny Castle for the traditional final-day time trial and circuit race.
Mayor Andrew McGuinness says the economic benefit to the city is huge.
Stay tuned to hear from him and others who attended yesterday afternoon’s launch locally – KCLR News’ Martin Quilty was there and you can hear his piece on The KCLR Daily – that and more 10am-1pm, if you’ve something to add please text/whatsapp straight to studio: 083 306 96 96.
