A Carlow woman whose husband’s latest appeal against his conviction in Greece was denied last week has vowed to seek justice in higher courts.
Julie Markus’ husband has spent almost four years in jail and the second highest court in Greece upheld almost all of the counts against him on Friday.
His original 18 year sentence was reduced to 16 years but he and his family claim he was here in Ireland when some of the alleged crimes happened.
The Rathvilly woman has told KCLR that they intend to apply to the Supreme court in Athens and the European court of Human Rights.
