Record fine for Ulster Bank for 2012 IT failure

Ulster Bank has been hit with a record 3.5 million euro fine for its massive IT failure in 2012.

The Central Bank levied the fine – which comes on top of the 60 million already paid out by the lender in compensation.

Ulster Bank was found to have failed “governance arrangements” over its technical systems.
