There’s bad news on the accommodation front for local people – and local students looking to rent in particular – this morning.
According to a new Red C survey, almost two thirds of tenants find it difficult to get their deposits back.
There’s 40 per cent less rental space available than this time last year and rents have increased by over 8 per cent nationally.
However, Union of Students in Ireland says digs can be a great alternative to traditional accommodation and is asking people who have a spare room to consider renting it to students.
