Relief for families of soldiers serving in Lebanon as Irish Defence Forces declares all of its troops are accounted for and safe

For a second time in two days the Irish Defences Forces says all its personnel in Lebanon are safe and accounted for.

A number of local troops are among those serving in the area with more set to travel next month.

The Israeli government says its launched investigations into attacks which killed three UNIFIL peacekeepers, it comes as the UN Security Council meets in emergency session to discuss the incidents which happened on Sunday and Monday.

Defence Forces spokesperson Commandant Alex Quigley says morale is high among the Irish troops in Southern Lebanon.
