Emergency services and Rescue 117 have resumed a search of the River Nore in Kilkenny city.
Local gardaí received a report of a missing person at 1am this morning.
Rescue 117 was immediately dispatched, along with Civil Defence, Fire service, Gardaí and an ambulance.
A search of the River Nore began at Johns Bridge – it was later stood down in the early hours of this morning.
Search teams have resumed now with the assistance of Rescue 117 once again.
Kilkenny sub aqua club also assisted with the search today.
