Rod to return to Nowlan park exactly 11 years since his last Kilkenny gig

Exactly 11 years since he last graced the stage at Kilkennys Nowlan park Rod Stewart is making a return visit.

Aiken Promotions confirmed this morning that the star will perform as part of his HITS tour in the county GAA grounds on June 25th 2016.

Tickets for the gig go on sale next Thursday morning.

Chairman of Kilkenny county board Ned Quinn thinks he will be just as popular as last time.
