Schools in Kilkenny and Carlow no longer able to discriminate with admissions

Schools in Carlow and Kilkenny won’t be allowed have waiting lists, admission fees and discriminatory admissions policies.
It comes as a new bill was announced yesterday by the Minister for Education.
A march which took place in Dublin on Sunday, calling for an end to religious discrimination in school admissions.
Speaking to KCLR news about the new bill, Carlow/Kilkenny Fine Gael TD John Paul Phelan says it will be easier for local children to get places in the school nearest to them.
