16 local primary schools are to receive awards for science and maths excellence.
The 8 recipients in Carlow are Scoil Náisiúnta Molaise, Rathoe National School, Scoil Naisiunta Naomh Fhiach, Scoil Náisiúnta Peadar Agus Pól, Holy Family Boys National School, Holy Family Girls’ National School, Leighlinbridge National School and St. Columbanus National School.
In Kilkenny St Lachtain’s in Freshford, Johnswell National School, the Presentation National School, Burnchurch primary school, St Fiacre’s in Skeaghvasteen, St Colman’s in Clara, St Leonard’s in Dunamaggin and Lisnafunchion National School will all receive the Discover Primary Science and Maths Award.
The awards are aimed at sparking curiosity in the minds of young children and inspiring an appreciation for science and maths.
