Local labour candidate Sean O’hArgain is hoping to secure a place on the sub panel for the European Elections today.
The Labour Party are holding their Selection Convention in Cork this afternoon.
Phil Prendergast is the only Labour candidate to go forward as Ireland South MEP.
Councillor O’hArgain will seek nomination alongside seven councillors from Wexford, Cork South Central, Clare, Limerick, and Cork.
