Sub aqua divers are due back in the River Nore this morning as the search resumes for a man who fell into the water in Thomastown early on Sunday morning.
The alarm was raised after the 33 year old named locally as Derek Tyrrell from Kilkenny city entered the water around 1:30am.
The incident happened near an old Mill on Mill Street in Thomastown.
The civil defence and teams of volunteers including family and friends are walking the river banks again this morning while the Kilkenny sub aqua team are due to launch their search boat on the river again from 10.30am.
Waterford River Rescue will join them with sonar equipment that will be used to scan the riverbed.
