Gardaí have confirmed to KCLR news that a search is underway in for a man who they believe went into the River Nore in the early hours of this morning.
It’s believed he entered the water near the white bridge in the town.
Local Civil Defence, the coast guard helicopter and Kilkenny Sub-Aqua club are all assisting with the search.
