There’s shock and sadness for one county Kilkenny community this morning where up to 45 jobs could go.

KCLR News understands Hughes Agriculture and Farming in Kells called in employees to a meeting last evening to deliver the news that production on their farm was to close and has contacted the company for comment.

Councillor Joe Lyons, who has been running a fruit and veg shop himself for many years, says it will have a major impact on families and the wider locality;
