A film worked on by a Kilkenny crew and which is about the murder of a woman just over the Tipperary border has been shortlisted in three categories at the IndieX Film Fest.
‘Bridget’ (see trailer here) tells of Bridget Cleary of Ballyvadlea, close to Mullinahone, who was murdered by her husband who believed her to be a fairy changeling and who convinced others that she was a witch.
Written by Cloneen based Brian Clancy and Anne Williamson, it was filmed by Diceman Productions.
Founder and director with The Fionn MacCumhaill Players Anne is herself in the running for the Best First Time Female Director category of the May ceremony which takes place in Los Angeles, Cathal Fahey’s a hopeful for Best Young Actor while he with Vicky Maher, John Peter Morris and Eugene O’Meara with the Fionn MacCumhaill Players are listed as potentials for the Best Ensemble title.
