Gardaí are warning of a considerable oil spill between Kilkenny city and Inistioge this morning.
The area affected is between the Bennettsbridge Road roundabout stretching beyond Brownsbarn Bridge which is said to be particularly treacherous.
The weather is making conditions worse and you’re being urged to take extreme caution if driving the route.
The local authority has been notified.
