A local councillor says Kilkenny County Council has been using sneaky tactics to rush through the Central Access Scheme.
Builders are already starting work on site this week – councillors and anti-CAS campaigners were only told at a meeting lat week that the contractors had been appointed.
A special meeting of the council has been called to dicuss the matter and hear submissions from the protestors tomorrow week.
But Sinn Fein’s Kathleen Funchion says works should have been put on hold so the newly elected council can debate it.
