A local Sinn Féin councillor says she fully supports Gerry Adams’s bid to keep the leadership of the party.
The Irish Independent yesterday reported that Mr Adams has no intention of stepping down as president at the Ard Fheis in the spring.
This year has been a particularly tumultuous one for Adams with issues like the Jean McConville and Mairia Cahill cases dominating much of the party’s media coverage.
Speaking to KCLR, Councillor Kathleen Funchion says she doesn’t think these are the things voters will be looking at in the 2016 elections.
