Glenmore is to finally get a new bus stop after persistent lobbying for one.
€25,000 in funding has been granted for the structure which will involve decommissioning a bus stop and weigh bridge that was never used and building the new one.
Local councillor Fidelis Doherty says it will be vital for South Kilkenny for the upcoming bus connect scheme and to ease school run congestion, telling KCLR News; “It’s all about connectivity, they talk about that, well show us what that looks like and now we will get to see what that looks like and indeed at schools and different locations they’re very congested only two, three, four times in the day, so we have to address that too and make it that it works for people”.
