Special meeting of Kilkenny Co Co to discuss CAS motion on 25th
A special meeting of Kilkenny county Council has been called for Monday the 25th of August.
It’s to debate a new motion to stop work on the Central Access scheme in Kilkenny.
The section 140 motion is being moved by Independent Councillor Breda Gardner and supported by Sinn Fein and the Green Party.
That gives them five votes but they will need eight votes in total for it to pass.
They’ll still need three councillors from the other parties to support them.
But Fianna Fail councillor Pat mcKey says he can’t support any motion that would delay the construction work further costing the council more money
