A Carlow-native has been given a top international honour for his work in the tourism sector.
Pat Dawson, CEO of the Irish Travel Agents Association was awarded the Medal of the Order of Civil Merit by His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain.
It’s in recognition of his work towards strengthening relations between Spain and Ireland – particularly in the area of tourism.
The Carlow man told KCLR Live this morning that he has a special love for that country.
