Spying bug attacks Irish computers

You’re being warned to make sure you have up-to-date anti-virus software after a large-scale attack by a spying bug.

Online security firm Symantec says Ireland is one of ten countries most affected by the “highly-sophisticated” Regin malware.

Experts say the bug – which can control cursors and steal passwords – appears to have been developed by a “nation state”.
