St Canices Cathedral in Kilkenny marks historic church moment with flag display

At St Canice’s Cathedral in Kilkenny today, the Compass Rose flag is flying to mark a historic moment for the Anglican church.

This afternoon, Sarah Mullally was enthroned as Archbishop of Canterbury the first woman to hold the role in its 1,400 year history.

The Archbishop serves as a unifying figure representing over 100 million members worldwide.
