St Lukes is still one of the busiest hospitals in the country today.
Trolley figures from the INMO show there are 32 people waiting on a bed at the local hospital.
Last Thursday ambulances were forced to wait with patients outside the emergency department because staff couldn’t find anywhere for them inside the hospital.
Speaking to KCLR on Friday Clinical Director at St Lukes Professor Gary Courtney acknowledged that the trolley crisis at the hospital is worsening and said they are short staffed, like every other hospital in the country.
