There’s a lot of positivity about for St Patrick’s Special School on the outskirts of Kilkenny city.
The Kells Road based educational facility caters for children with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulty as well as those with autism.
Teacher Suzanne Treacy’s been teaching there for the past 25 years and says the funds given to them by Kilkenny Lions Club will go towards music therapy and is welcome at a time when funding for those in their care is lacking overall.
And she also outlined how the team there is gearing up to turn the sod on their new extension;
