Fire and emergency services in Kilkenny responded to 23 separate incidents overnight, mostly involving fallen trees which presented a risk to road users during Storm Darragh.
The local authority is advising that there is a lot of debris on roads in all areas. Motorists are asked to slow down, expect debris on roads and take extra care.
The Kilkenny County Council Severe Weather Action Team are continuing to monitor the situation as winds will remain strong through the day with a yellow wind weather warning in place for Kilkenny until 3pm.
