Streets of Kilkenny 5k road race takes place tonight

Thousands of people are expected to descend upon Kilkenny City later this evening, for the annual Streets of Kilkenny 5k Road Race.

Access to Kilkenny City will be restricted between 6.30 and 8.30pm to facilitate the running of the race, with the route starting on the Parade, going through Parliament Street, Irishtown, Castlecomer New Road and John Street.

Kilkenny City Harriers Chairman John Maye has this advice for motorists who are hoping to access the city this evening. ”it will be very busy, expect disruption. However, you can check out our socials for information on alternative routes to take.
